Flash Event Calendar Extension

I have downloaded and installed the Spark Events Calendar 1.4.5 extension for Flash MX and still this extension puzzles me. I must admit that I am terrible at Flash, but I can work with math and functions in several scripting languages.

For some reason Action Scripting is giving me a hard time. You can see many wonderful examples of the calendar extension in use at his Website. I'll let you know how it turned out.

Flash Event Calendar Extension Summary:
XML is nice and to use it with Flash MX has got to be the greatest. I have been wanting to try some Flash with dynamic content and XML seems to be the way to go.
