Flash Babelfish Webservices with Remoting

Web Services can be very useful, using NuSOAP and PHP Object for Flash from Ghostwire Studios we have put together an example using the Babelfish Translation Service. Bringing together these powerful application technologies can prove to be very beneficial. With the many web services available, comes the abilty to process many types of data, look up virtually any information, even send wireless communication.

Many may be wondering why is this so important. Well, imagine using your PDA, Web Browser, or other web enabled device to do most of the work via the internet that you currently use desktop software for.  This would allow you to use your software from anywhere in the world. RIA's, or rich internet applications, are here and enable us to do just that.

This Digi Translator is just a simple example of what can be done with server side media and programming.  It does a pretty good job at translating between several languages. The only limitations are that you can only translate up to 5000 chracters with this online example and for some of the eastern languages you need the proper fonts installed on your computer.

English is the primary language spocken in the world, but our consumers may be from any number of places. Having your product or service in a language familiar to the user could mean the difference in making the sale.  Such an web application could be used for localization or even globalization of your product or service to better meet their needs.

Contact Us if you would like to use a Web Service, NuSOAP, PHP Gateway, or Macromedia Flash enabled application to recieve stock quotes, get weather forcasts, send sms messages, and much more.
